We use Seesaw to set homework each week and communicate class and school announcements with our parents and carers. Students use built-in multimodal tools to capture what they know in their own Seesaw digital portfolio. Teachers are able to see children’s work, like and comment on it and parents can see what learning their children are doing.
We also work closely with our families to ensure that in the event where a child requires to temporarily learn from home, they have the opportunity to access high quality learning that they would be exposed to if they were in school. Keeping regular learning provision going during times when pupils are not attending school, but are still well, is of great importance to reduce the impact on children’s education. This may be due to isolation, shielding or for other reasons.
We provide a flexible approach to remote learning as we know that everybody’s circumstances are different. We offer a variety of daily learning activities across the curriculum in a variety of different formats, and ensure our monitoring of engagement and support to families is rigorous and consistent.
