In Term 4 Ukuleles and Cellos are studying Earth and Space in Science. With this in mind, a trip has been arranged to the Science Observatory in Herstmonceux on Friday 25 March. The children will participate in ‘Destination Space’ activities, as well as have the opportunity to investigate the interactive exhibits. Children may wear home clothes but must wear their blue school jumper for easy identification. Weather permitting, some of the activities are outside, so please ensure your child has a raincoat and sensible footwear.

We will be leaving school at 9.00am PROMPTLY for an arrival time of 10.30am. We will be leaving the museum at approximately 3.30pm and arriving back at school at approximately 5.00pm.

The cost of the trip will be £19.00 per child to include coach fare and participation in workshops.
You will be able to make an online payment using our new School Money system, this can be made in two instalments of £9.50 due Monday 31 January and £9.50 due Monday 28 February. Alternatively cash can be handed to the school office.

Please provide your child with a packed lunch (no glass bottles or fizzy drinks) in a named carrier bag – no boxes. If your child receives Free School Meals, please indicate below your child’s meal choice.
