As part of Batchelor's Premier Foods 60th Anniversary celebrations, they have given 60 trees to 5 local schools for planting and we were one of those lucky schools.
On Tuesday 28th November 5 of our Year 6 students (Holly Apps, Joseph Barrett, Nandika Thileepan, Ella Darlington and Anevay Gravesande-Whyte) undertook the planting of the rowan trees on our school field, the children were joined by Gaby & Paul from Premier foods, his Worship the Mayor of Ashford, Mrs. Law and our Chair of Governors Mr. Cooke. The children's families were also present to watch. Despite the cold weather it was a lovely ceremony.
The children received complimentary t-shirts and certificates from Premier Foods.
